Create gender-sensitive solutions in mobility planning
Gender, social inclusion, and mobility have become increasingly visible within a particular transport planning and policy agenda. This course shows why gender-inclusive transport and mobility matters, across all countries and how to implement successful solutions.
The two courses focus on both these primary challenges: (1) an introductory course, that will enable to successfully make the case to the relevant decision-makers for a gender and mobility policy and practice lens, and (2) an expert-track course that moves beyond advocacy to achieving practical skills that ultimately will enable the delivery of a
gender-equitable and inclusive mobility system.
This course is developed under following initiatives:
Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) aims at increasing access to affordable, safe, low-carbon and inclusive urban mobility in developing countries and emerging economies.
A sub-brand of TUMI is the WomenMobilizeWomen (WMW) initiative dedicated to raise awareness on the topic of gender & mobility and female mobility needs as well as to empower women working in the transport sector.
